Its very rare (so rare, I can’t even think of an actual time) that I have walked away from a photo shoot and not feel satisfied after capturing children and their innocence. For me, in some ways they are easier than adults because they have nothing to hide if approached right. The trick is finding that sweet spot, that spot that will open up to a giggle, or a tender moment that can only be seen usually for a split second.

I remember photographing my own kids before they “loved” the camera… that was a bit tricky, especially for my oldest, who getting to smile was like pulling teeth… and after each shoot I would be left sweating as if I just ran a marathon, but I walked away with my reward… the reward of capturing that golden stage before the next growth occurs. Spring is here! Flower Fields in Half Moon Bay

We have had an amazing “winter”, but now on to spring, and if there is one thing you can count on is the beautiful mustard flowers in full bloom. Don't blink, because its over within a week or two. If the flower fields are something you have been waiting for as a backdrop, then now is the time.

I think the wild flowers on this coastside is such a magical time. It really shine's a light on our coastal town in being so diverse in its beauty, not only do we have the oceans, but our magical hillside's and beautiful wild flower is any artists dream.

I have known this family since their oldest child wasn't even walking yet… I love what I do as I really get to grow with families, and be able to document each stage in their lives. This was a great window into this next phase of childhood. Shanti was the photographer of our dreams for our engagement pictures and our wedding! For our engagement pictures, I sent her a few ideas, but she really brought it to life and we couldn’t have loved them more! She is SO on top of everything and made us feel SO comfortable throughout the 2 hour session. For our wedding, at Jacuzzi Family Vineyards in Sonoma, we couldn’t have asked for a more professional, AMAZING photographer! Shanti and her team were top notch and I can’t say enough about her! They came to where we were getting ready, were SO on point with the timeline and all the little details and followed my now husband and I around like a hawk! We had talked about various group pictures and different locations at the vineyards and she made sure that EVERYTHING was captured! I cannot recommend Shanti and her team enough! We cannot wait to see all of our wedding day photos and to use her for other photos down the road! You’re the BEST Shanti!
